This acrylic high gloss lacquer is a hard, well-protective lacquer that leaves the wood structure visible. When dry, it has a high gloss. The paint is dry in 5 minutes, hard after 20 minutes. Then you can also sand very lightly. If you apply a second layer, it is advisable to sand in between with a very fine sanding grain. For the best effect with this paint, first use a sanding sealer. The gloss of this lacquer can be compared to the gloss of a friction polish. The paint is water-based and comes in a 300ml spray can.

Why high-gloss lacquer Pr0tect-IT?

Protect-IT literally excels due to properties that make the lacquer particularly suitable for us, impatient wood turners. The paint is already dry after 5 minutes and if you wait a few more minutes you can already sand. The paint is suitable for indoor AND outdoor use. The lacquer is UV resistant and has a very good ratio between hardness and ‘elasticity’. Furthermore, the varnish adheres very well to bare wood and other hard surfaces. Moreover, the lacquer is easy to spray. Some high-gloss lacquers drip very quickly, Protect IT does not. So you don’t have to be a professional car painter to get a super nice glossy extremely thin layer of paint on your workpiece…

Usage

Spray several thin layers at a distance of about 20 to 25 cm for the best result. Adheres to any sanding sealer, but also to untreated dry wood. Can also be used outdoors.

Hints

Cover what cannot be hit.

If you want an even higher gloss, use a polishing compound on the final coat of paint.

Safety

Avoid breathing the vapor and use in a well-ventilated area.
