Description

Ash wood

Ash wood is ductile, tough and strong. For this reason, stairs, tool handles and chairs and stools are often made from it. It is excellent for turning and easy to finish. This wood is usually white, but discolouration can occur in the core. The wood merchant then calls it olive ash. This wood is kiln-dried. As a result, it will no longer warp very much. This is coarse-pored structured wood. The vessels in which the sap runs up through the trunk are large and are located just below the annual rings.

nature

Wood is a natural product and every piece of wood is different. The wood in the picture is meant as an example and will never be exactly the same as the piece sent to you. Wood can sometimes have a small crack or an old wormhole. The wood is sealed with paraffin.
