Esacryl Aqua Wood Hardener

is a one component, transparent binder designed to strengthen bad wood. It is an environmentally friendly water-based wood strengthening agent. Thanks to its low viscosity, it can penetrate well into soft, rotten wood fibers, so that old wood partially regains its original structure. Esacryl is often used to make wood surfaces strong again, for example to prepare it for painting or varnishing. It can also be used without applying a finishing layer. For example, to make outdoor wood constructions weather-resistant. Because Esacryl is water-based, the wood does not have to be perfectly dry.

Apply

Esacryl Aqua can be applied with a brush or a sprayer. Esacryl is ready to use, thinning is usually not necessary. However, if the wood is very dense, dilution with tap water can be useful, up to a maximum of 20%. Ensure that the wood to be treated is clean, dry and free of dirt, dust and other loose material. The hardness and density of the surface to be treated determines the effect of Esacryl Aqua. keep applying new layers until the hot no longer absorbs new Esacryl Aqua. So don’t let it harden between layers. If the last layer is no longer absorbed, it can also be used as a glossy finish. If you want to harden deeper into the wood, it is advisable to drill or pierce small holes, pour in the Esacryl Aqua and then let it harden for a day, preferably at a temperature of 15 degrees or slightly higher.

Esacryl Aqua is suitable for making wood waterproof. It can be used, for example, on dishes and salad bowls.

To dry

Esacryl Aqua wood hardener is water based. The drying time therefore strongly depends on how quickly the water evaporates. Depending on the application, the wood and the condition of the wood, this can vary from 2 hours to 2 days.

clean and store

Used tools can be cleaned with lukewarm water shortly after use. Store Esacryl Aqua frost-free.

Alternative

Esacryl Aqua is also available in a solvent-based version. FIXUM. The presence of these solvents ensures even better penetration into the wood.
