Tormek PA 70 honing paste

This honing paste is suitable for all leather honing discs. The properties of leather in combination with the paste effectively remove burrs created during grinding. The paste contains an agent that protects the leather on the honing disc from drying out. For best results, always use honing paste when waxing on a leather wax wheel. One application is sufficient for 5 to 10 waxes. Each time you use the wet paste, the leather becomes softer and more effective. Tools will become sharper than ever.

How to use:

Apply a thin slip of PA-70 honingpaste to the leather wet disc before starting the machine. Turn the honing disc by hand to distribute the paste well over the surface. Start the machine and distribute the honing paste by pressing the tool lightly against the wheel. Let the paste soak into the leather.

Oil

If you have a new leather honing-paste wheel, impregnate it first with the light machine oil to give it the right texture. This will allow the leather to absorb the honing paste well. If you work in a dry climate, you may need to re-impregnate the honing disc with a few drops of oil over time before using the paste. Do not let the honing paste dry out on the leather wet disc, apply more oil if necessary.
