Buy it with your lathe, or modify it later. The outside turning device is screwed to the leg construction with four bolts. The holes are standard in the lathe.

A 1.5 inch solid steel bar stands upright on the floor and has a socket at the top to hold the tool rest of your choice (sold separately). A hinged arm is easy to move and keeps the upright in place. If you want, you can turn a table top up to 1.5 meters.

The Outboard Turning Device can be used without removing the Tilt-Away.

When ordering an outside turning device, we need the desired center height (from the floor) of your lathe to make the upright to the correct length.
