Bowl Gouge 13 mm (3/8″) by Robert Sorby

This bowl gouge (842 H) from Robert Sorby is made of high-quality HSS steel. There is a standard grind on this gouge however a fingernail profile can be ground on this gouge if desired. If you want that please indicate this in the order notes. The ash handle fits comfortably in the hand and is not too long. This makes this bowl gouge ideal for small to medium work.

There is often confusion about the thickness/width of the gouge. This is because the English measure the width of a bowl gouge from the outside of the chisel to the inside of the flute. The rest of Europe gives as the measurement of the chisel the thickness of the material.
