Drill set for Crushgrind grinders

To make a pepper mill with the Crushgrind grinders, you need 4 sizes of drills. FAMAG has now put these together in a case. With an extension piece. Famag is a German manufacturer of quality forstner drills, among other things. And that’s good because you need good drills to drill precisely into end grain wood! The 4 drills in this st are 42 mm, 38 mm, 25 mm and 22 mm.

Bormax

The drills in the Bormax series have a total length of 90 mm and the extension piece has a length of 250 mm. All drills in the set are accurately held in the 10 mm drill hole of the extension. The hex shank of the Bormax® drills ensures that they do not twist in the extension.

Use

The drills in Ø 38 mm and 42 mm are needed to drill the holes for the Crushgrind mechanism. The Ø 25 mm drill bit is used to drill the hole along the length of the body. This is where the peppercorns are stored. Use the Ø 22 mm drill bit to drill the hole for the knob of the grinder. CrushGrind offers Grinders with lengths of 130 mm, 195 mm, 284 mm and 460 mm. With the extension provided, crush grinders up to 284 mm can be drilled in one go. For the longest crushgrind mechanisms, simply drill into the wood from 2 sides.
