About Killinger

Klaus Killinger made his first lathe in 1965. In the years that followed, he slowly built on his small lathe empire. In the 1980s, he developed a copying attachment and in the 1990s, the heavy lathes KM 6000 and KM 7000 saw the light of day. Everything was developed and made in Germany. At the beginning of the 21st century, killinger stops using steel lathes and switches to cast iron. Even more weight and rigidity in construction. The benches are then still assembled in Germany because Killinger insists on using German parts in crucial places. Meanwhile, the Killinger brand is owned by the Steinert brothers in Olbernhau (D). Roland and Martin come from a family of woodturners. And that production method is still the same. Killinger plays it safe.
