The Copaiba tree is found in Central and South America. Copaiba has a warm mid-brown hue with a straight to light cross grain. The sapwood is clearly distinguishable from the heartwood. Copaiba is not as hard as other tropical hardwoods can be. Ideal for turning something beautiful... The gum resin of this tree is processed into an anti-inflammatory oil.
