Quina Quina
Quina Quina
Quina Quina is a type of wood found in southern Mexico and South America. It has a warm mid brown colour. When sanded, it acquires a natural shine. However, it is a hard wood and can be turned well, although it is important that you cut it well. If not, you may suffer from tear-out at the end edges.
The bark of this tree is dried and ground into a spice used in South American cuisine. The resin of this tree is used to make 'Balsam of Peru', which is widely used in perfumes. In short, a truly versatile tree.

Wood is a natural product and every piece of wood is different. The wood in the picture is meant as an example and will never be exactly the same as the piece sent. Wood can sometimes have a small crack or an old wormhole. The wood is sealed with paraffin.
