CARP Carbide Tool
The chisel set for the woodturner who occasionally wants to do some turning but doesn’t want to immediately invest in a grinding machine and all the accessories. These chisels do not need to be sharpened and retain their sharpness for a very long time. If the blades become dull, you can simply rotate them and continue working. The set consists of 4 different chisels, each with a unique blade. The blades are made of tungsten carbide, an extremely hard metal. The shafts are 20 cm long, and the handle adds another 39 cm.
Properties of Carbide Cutters
These chisels do not cut but scrape. This means they may not provide the finest finish on long grain wood, but they are very suitable for turning end grain or wood that contains a lot of silica, for example.

Epoxy
Nowadays, epoxy is often used in combination with wood. This type of chisel is very handy when working with epoxy-like materials or wood with a lot of sand or debris. Traditional turning chisels would become dull in no time, but these carbide cutters do not.
