Unique Properties of Thuja Burl
✔ Origin – Thuja Burl is harvested from the root burls and knots of the Tetraclinis articulata, also known as the Atlas Cedar or Moroccan Thuja. This wood primarily grows in the Atlas Mountains and is scarce. There is an export ban from Morocco following a decree by the Moroccan king, but no import ban into the EU. Nevertheless, the majority (and best quality) of Thuja wood comes from Morocco.
✔ Stunning Appearance – The characteristic burl has a deep brown to golden hue with intricate, marble-like patterns and a satin-like sheen after finishing.
