ASR Safety Ring CARP SR1
An ASR safety ring ensures that your chuck does not turn off your spindle when you run the lathe backwards. It also prevents that from happening if you have a large load in the chuck and you brake quickly. The ASR safty ring has a V-shaped groove on the inside of the ring and is placed over the spindle and over the chuck mounting. The spindle of your lathe should therefore look like the drawing.
