Would you like M33 x 3.5 on the spindle of your lathe, but is there a different size on it? This adapter offers the solution. Fits on almost any screw thread. You can choose the internal thread in the pull-down menu, the external thread is M33 x 3.5 mm. M33 x 3.5 (DIN800) fits in the most common chucks, faceplates and other accessories for the lathe. It has become the European standard for wood lathes.

The biggest problem usually is to find out which screw thread is on the spindle of the lathe. Measuring the outside diameter is not enough. After all, it can be a metric or an imperial thread. The pitch (the number of peaks per inch, or the distance between the peaks) also has a role. Here are 2 examples:
Metric: M33 x 3.5 means: The external thread has a diameter of 33 mm and the pitch/rise/distance between the crests is 3.5 mm
Imperial: 1' x 8 tpi (1 x 8) means: The external thread has a diameter of 1 inch (2.54 mm) and there are 8 crests per inch.
