This stand is a solid base for your Midi lathe. The metal legs are at a slight angle under your Midi 2 plus or Midi Pro, which gives two advantages. Firstly, it obviously gives more sturdiness and stability to your lathe. In addition, it is nice for the turner to be able to move well around the lathe without the legs of the stand getting in the way.
You can notice this stability and sturdiness very well with wood that is out of balance. It is even possible to weigh these legs down with sand. Each square leg is hollow and has an opening at the top so that the legs can be made even heavier. Keep in mind that the sand filling must be dry!
The adjustable legs of the Midi lathe can be converted to the base, allowing you to adjust the height of your lathe to your liking.
