Hampshire Sheen Microcrystalline Was
Hampshire Sheen Microcrystalline Wax
Microcrystalline Wax from Hampshire Sheen is a quick-drying wax that can be used multifunctionally. It makes products insensitive to water splashes and fingerprints. It leaves a hard shiny layer. You need very little to get a good finish, so use it sparingly. Pen turners already know that. Not every Microcrystalline wax is suitable for use on wood. This one of course.
Miccrocrystalline is available in 130g liver lid pots.
How to use.
Make sure that your workpiece is neatly turned and that there are no pressure marks from the tool. If necessary, use a sanding sealer to make the surface harder and smoother. And use an abrasive paste to get a smoother surface. If you do not use sanding paste, be sure to sand to grit 400. The smoother the surface, the better the finish with Microcrystalline. For a higher shine, use Hampshire sheen high Gloss.
Yorkshire grit is often the preparation for finishing with Hampshire Sheen.  ; In the film below, Martin Saban-Smith clearly shows how that works.
