-Hornbeam
Hornbeam
Hornbeam is also known as Stone Beech or White Beech. It is a grey-white wood species with hardly any visible markings. There is little or no colour difference between heartwood and sapwood. This type of wood is difficult to split and is therefore extremely suitable for screw thread spindles, beaters and hammer heads. If you are looking for a suitable wood to learn to caress screw threads, this is your wood!
