Extra arm for the HollowGuard
The CARP HollowGuard is supplied as standard with 3 arms. If you need more damping and better support, you can add 1, 2 or even 3 extra arms. This way, you create more support points for your workpiece.
Description
The HollowGuard is built from a heavy-duty, rolled angle iron ring of no less than 5 mm thick, welded onto a rigid, thick base plate. The arms are made from 4 mm thick steel. The three double-bearing rollers are rubber-coated and provide increased stability of your workpiece during hollowing, while leaving hardly any marks. The quick-release levers allow the three arms to be adjusted easily. The HollowGuard fits all lathes with a flat bed.
4 versions
Make sure that the extra arms you order match the version of the HollowGuard you have. The arms are not interchangeable.
There are 4 versions of the HollowGuard. Your lathe does not need to have exactly the specified centre height, but it is advisable to choose the version closest to your lathe’s centre height. The minimum clamping diameter is 13 mm. Other dimensions can be found in the table below.
