European ash crossgrain wood
Ash wood is a flexible, tough and strong wood. For this reason, stairs, tool handles and chairs and stools are often made of it. Ash wood is excellent for turning and easy to work with. Ash is normally white, but discoloration can occur in the center of the tree (Nice Brown). The timber salesman then calls it olive ash.

Wood is a natural product and every piece of wood is different. The wood in the photo is intended as an example and will never exactly match the piece that is sent. Wood can sometimes contain a small crack or an old worm hole. The wood is sealed with paraffin.
