Wivamac DB1000 3.2

The wivamac DB 1000 is a solid lathe. Made of thick and heavy steel with a center height of 26 cm, a 2 HP (1500W) motor and 90 cm between the centers. Enough for a lifetime of turning pleasure.

Made In Belgium

The Wivamac Lathes are being produced again. The lathes have been modernized and everything is made in Belgium. The WIVAMAC DB lathes have always been praised for their reliability, build quality and precision and so all the good elements have been retained and minor improvements have been made. Improvements that you sometimes don't see. Such as, for example, the confinement of the shaft in the bearings. But also clearly visible changes. The new, more modern versions now have a digitally readable display telling you the RPMs of the spindle And the speed is controled by a frequecy drive. The Wivamac machines are finished with a powder coating, which is of course much stronger than a layer of paint. The machines are height adjustable because the legs can be extended. There is a hole in the feet so that the lathe can be secured to the floor if necessary.

Upgrades

The most important changes to the new series of Wivawac lathes:

  • Fully rotatable and movable head stock, by means of eccentric clamping lever
  • Heavier bed of 8 mm steel thickness
  • Three-stage pulley with wider drive belt
  • Security with microswitch on the door
  • Pinole in tailstock with trapezoidal thread
  • New bearing with preload
  • European motor, latest IE3 standard
  • Run-off protection (ASR)
  • Perfectly balanced main spindle due to new clamping bushes, among other things

2 models

There are 2 models available, this is the WIVAMAC DB1000 3.2 and there is also a WIVAMAC DB1000 2.1. Both models have a center height of 260 mm and a center distance of 900 mm!

DB1000 3.2

The Wivamac dB1000 3.2 has a motor power of 1500W (2HP). The control buttons are in a magnetc control box. The head stock is sliding and rotatable, so that you can always find an easy working position. The clamping of the head stock and tail stock on the lathe bed is sublime. The Wivamac machines run exceptionally quietly. The Wivamac machines have an excellent price/quality ratio. Especially when you consider that the entire machine is made in Belgium!
