CARP snijringen voor ringbeitel
CARP cutting rings for the ring tool
The cutting rings are made of hard steel (65 HRC) and have a long service life. The rings are 12 or 16 mm in size, choose which one you want in the pulldown menu. The ring is sharp on 2 sides. There is a large opening and a small one. You do most of the work with the large opening, you go into depth with it. You use the small opening to finish the wall. This way you can always work cutting-edge. The cutting rings have a mounting shaft of 7 mm.
CARP tools
These tools from CARP are made of hardened HSS M2 steel. They are forged and/or milled, then hardened to 65 HRC, then ground and polished.
Harden
How good a tool is depends largely on the hardness and toughness of the steel. A lot of attention is therefore paid to hardening the tools. This is a long process. It starts with heating the steel. This happens in absolute vacuum. The tools are then hardened in 3 steps, after which they undergo another process of heating and cooling. Temperatures of up to -185 degrees are reached (in liquid nitrogen). Quality is strictly monitored. Between 5 and 10% of each batch of tools are tested for hardness and toughness.
