Bowl Sander.
The Bowl Sander is particularly suitable for sanding bowls and plates on a lathe. No electricity needed, the wood drives the sanding pad. But it can also be used with spindle work on the lathe. On the rotating sanding head is a Velcro top layer that holds the sandpaper in place. Works both with the VC 154 long-life sandpaper and with the Abranet. But you can also get pre cut sandpaper, per 10 of per 50. Because the bowl sander heads have a sort of click system, they can be changed very quickly.
the Sanding
Start sanding with a coarse grit. Do not apply too much pressure to the workpiece, to avoid damaging the sanding disc. Replace the sanding disc with a finer grit and sand again.
Zusätzliche Pads
Du kannst dich auch dafür entscheiden, das Schleifpapier auf den Pads zu lassen und stattdessen die Pads zu wechseln. In diesem Fall findest du hier zusätzliche Schleifpads. Vergiss nicht, auch einen Adapter mitzubestellen. Wenn die Pads (die Schleifteller) abgenutzt sind, musst du nur den Pad selbst austauschen.
