This combination does not exist.

With this eccentric chuck you are able to turn creative eccentric figures. Geometric motifs in lids but also spiral eccentric forms. You can set the "offset" of the eccentric chuck in 2 ways. And if you combine both ways, an endless series of possibilities arises. Simple but very cleverly designed. An asset for every creative woodturner.

Stretch

You do not screw the eccentric chuck directly onto the spindle, but you clamp it into the four-jaw chuck that you already have. Almost all brands of chucks have dovetail jaws that clamp 2 inches (51 mm). Those jaws also fit in this chuck. The smallest diameter of the opening is 70 mm.  It provides a very secure grip.

Technical

The eccentric chuck is made by Axminster itself. In their own factories, with CNC controlled machines. So no worries about the quality...

Video

To get a good idea of what you can make with this attachment, Axminster has made a video with a few examples.   [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntIcUpP9xss[/embed]

Project

Turning a cup with offset and spiral stem 1. Screw the wood to the clamping plate, screw the clamping plate into the eccentric holder and mount the holder in your chuck. 2. Start by hollowing out the cup and shaping the outer profile, with the offset set to zero. 3. Now turn and sand the top of the first disc and the inside and outside of the cup 4. Begin rotating the first of the eccentric discs by removing the screw from the zero position and moving the center plate to the first offset position, replacing the screw and tightening it securely. If necessary, reduce the speed of the lathe. Now rotate the next disk, the bottom of the first disk and the top of the second disk. Sand before moving to the next position. 5. Now shift the center plate to the next position in the same direction as before. Tighten the screws again. Remove the assembly from the chuck, loosen the center screw from the plate attached to the wood and turn it clockwise or counterclockwise depending on whether you want a left-hand spiral on the right. For a regular spiral it is important to move in equal steps every time.  Tighten the screw and place it back on the chuck. You are now ready to turn and sand the next disc. 6. To rotate the remaining discs, simply rotate the index plate. Rotate the index plate by removing it from the chuck. Loosen the center screw so that you can rotate the workpiece in the same direction and with the same number of holes as before. Continue this procedure, making sure you leave enough for the last two disks, as you will need to reverse the procedure to get the cup stem back to the center of the base. 7. Finally, when everything has been sanded, cut off the workpiece while holding it on a piece that rotates centrically...
