drive center met drukring
This drive center from Axminster has a centering point and a pressure ring. The workpiece is therefore not rotated because 4 teeth are pushed into it, but because of the pressure on the center. This works very well for smaller workpieces, pins for example) and has the advantage for novice turners that it is a safe way. With a "catch" the workpiece slips and will not jump out of the bench. A live center of this type of center is also available. You can then easily remove your workpiece from the bench, turn it over and put it back! The center has a Morse Cone 2 for inclusion in the spindle.
