The Crown 255W is a 25 mm scraper made of HSS M2 steel. I use these scrapers to turn a well-fitting tension foot under my bowls.
The HSS of the chisels by Crown Hand Tools from Sheffield in England is hardened to give a longer tool life and a sharper cut can be applied to the chisel.
The handles of these chisels are made of brown lacquered beech and nice and long, so they can be well pressed against the body while turning.
