The 231XW is a beast of a chisel, executed in Sheffield M2 HSS steel. Ideal for the first cut in a workpiece between the centers. The chisel is 50 mm wide and 16 cm long. This ensures that the chisel is quiet in the hand, even if the wood is not yet round. The handle is very long so that it can be pressed well against the body. The total length of this chisel is 60 cm. Please note! Therefore, a gouge is not used to erode scaling.
