Mastercut bowl gouge

This Oneway bowl gouge is made of HSS steel with a cobalt addition. This creates the steel that Hamlet calls 2060 and Crown calls it Pro PM. It is a gouge that retains its sharpness for an extremely long time.

These gouges are approximately 39 cm long and are supplied without a handle. The gouges are therefore longer than normal and can be used on 2 sides. They are usually used in a (Oneway) interchangeable handle. You can also choose for a quick release handle, but you, of course can make one yourself also….

When these gouges are delivered, they have a so-called classic profile of approximately 55 degrees on both sides.

double-ended

A double ended gouge is more economical than buying 2 gouges. They are also useful if you travel a lot with your chisels, retracted into the handle they take up much less space. You could sharpen 1 side into a fingernail profile and the other side a sharper angle to finish. They come in 3 sizes, 10 mm diameter steel, 13mm thick steel (3/8″ in English) and 16mm (1/2″). The English measure the size of bowl gouges differently than Europeans.
