A carbide cutter with which you can hollow small boxes in end grain wood. The 40 cm square shaft helps you find the ideal cutting angle. The cutter is at a 45 degree angle to the shaft. As soon as you rest the tool on the tool rest, the carbide cutter is automatically at the correct angle for a nice cutting result. You can hold this tool well because of the pleasant Softex layer on the handle.
It works like this:
Adjust the tool rest so that the tool is horizontally aligned with the center height of your workpiece. Then place the tool on the tool rest and ensure that it lies horizontally in your hands. This is the position from which you can start hollowing out small boxes or hollowing out end grain wood.
Delivery:
- the tool with the carbide cutter already attached.
- a Torx key to change the cutter.
Tip: When you start hollowing out, make a pivot point on the tool rest. So do not pull the tool towards you with your left hand, but push with your right hand holds the tool handle away from you. This way you can hollow out much faster and it saves you a lot of power.
