With a curved tool rest on the inside of a bowl you prevent the “overhang” of your gouge from becoming too large. You can place the tool rest closer to the wall along the entire inside of the bowl or vase. To achieve this, the support is also slightly tilted on the shaft, so that the wood does not run against the bottom of the support. The J shape works very well to work on the bottom of the inner vase
Robust tool rests always have a hardened top. This ensures an always smooth surface to allow the tool to run over. So there are no dents or deep scratches in your tool rest. A huge plus!
The curved tool rest is 35 cm long and can be supplied with a 30 mm axis or a 1 inch (25.4 mm) axis. (Select in the pull-down menu).
