Description

Safe Center.

This drive center is made to enter directly into the spindle. This drive center is called the Safe Center. The lathe must have a  Morse Taper 2 female in  the spindle. The point of the drive center protrudes slightly before the ring and is to be set with a bolt. The advantage of this safe center is that the workpiece is always available between the centers and the workpiece can also be restored to the exact same position. The point can protrude slightly before the ring and is sprung so that there is always pressure on the workpiece. If there is a big catch during the work, the wood continues to spin, the drive center is keeps running and you have no damage to your work.

  • These drive centers are available in 2 sizes. Morse Taper 1 and Morse Taper 2
