This Oneway Mastercut bowl gouge is made of HSS steel with a cobalt addition. This creates the steel called by Hamlet 2060 and Crown calls it Pro PM. It is a gouge that holds its sharpness extremely long. These gouges are about 14 inches long and are delivered without handle. That’s fine because in this way you can make yourself easily recognizable handles and don’t grab the wrong one from the rack. If these gouges are delivered they must be sharpened before use. If you write what profile you want in the “comments on your order” box, I can do it for you too.
