Make your own exchange tool handle

With this collet head for exchange handle. A good tool handle is made of wood. Especially when it comes to wood turning chisels. With this quick collet head, you’ll have your other chisel ready for use in no time. This saves a lot of space and makes it easier to store and/or take your tools with you. The CARP S series is extremely suitable for this quick collet head. The shaft pins of these toolsls all are 12mm. So you don’t have to change the collet. If you turn your own handle, you can determine your own preferences in terms of weight, length and diameter. And in addition to the practical benefits of making your own handle, you can also make something personal out of it. The collet head is supplied without the ER25 collet. This is available separately. The collet head has a ribbed surface for better grip.

Do you want extra collets? Which can. Click here to order additional collets. It is, after all, an exchange handle. It should hold several toolls. The most common sizes are 10 mm (3/8 inch), 13 mm (1/2 inch) and 16 mm (5/8 inch). 10-9, 13-12 and 16-15.

TIP

The collet head is completely hollow. That’s handy. If you also make your tool handle hollow, your chisel can be pushed far into the handle. This is useful if you are working with a hollowing tool, for example. But even if you are just starting to hollow out a bowl with your bowl gouge, you still have the option of sliding the tool into the handle.
