Although I have never had anything to complain about the vari-grind, Oneway has come up with the vari-grind 2. This sharpening attachment is used in combination with the Wolverine sharpening attachment. But this version (with base) can also be used without the rest of the system.
Oneway Vari-Grind 2 Attachment (with base) for the Wolvering Grinding Jig. It will properly shape and maintain the edge of your spindle gouge and bowl gouges with a fingernail profile (or Elsworth profile, or Irish grind or keltic grind), and the traditional fingernail shape for spindle gouges.
Oneway has set the standard for grinding molds with the Wolverine system. Your woodturning workshop isn't complete without the Wolverine system as part of your mill setup. The Vari-Grind is the industry standard jig for correctly shaping a fingernail or grinding back on a gouge.
