The axle:

  • The axle in the fixed head of the Oneway 2436 is worn by 4 bearings. On the front side there are 2 of 45 mm. Ball bearings that provide minimal radial and axial clearance of the axle. At the back are 40 mm bearings that can absorb any changes of the axle through heat development. The bearings do not need maintenance and are lubricated for life.
  • The shaft is to be fixated in 48 (!) positions.
  • The shaft is heavy. 51 mm At the thickest point, 40 cm long and 16 mm pierced. and has an MC 2 above the bed. The shaft is made of high alloy steel, i.e. that have been added to the carbon steel elements that provide more hardness and e.g. Less influence of heat. Then the shaft is hardened. The tolerance of the axle is 0.0001 mm.

The fixed heading:

  • The front of the fixed head, where the large bearings sit, protrudes 8 cm. This makes it possible to create larger scales etc. Reverse and give the chisels more space to work on the back of a scale or board.
  • Behind the M33 x 3, 5mm thread is a groove that causes a clamping plate or chuck to be secured on the shaft. This allows the shaft to rotate in reverse direction and the Chuck does not turn on.
  • The shaft is powered over 3 pulley with a 10 grooved Poly V Belt
  • Should this belt break unexpectedly, it will take up to fifteen minutes for an untrained screwdriver to get the shaft in and out.

The loose head

  • The parts in the loose head (Pinoe, spindle etc…) are all made of tough and extremely hard steel. The Pinoe is even more hardened (no rust).
  • The casing is made of cast iron.
  • Other plus points of the Oneway 2436:
    • The Pinoe can be turned 12 cm.
    • The thread on the Pino is combined with the hand wheel that the Pino can be quickly and easily turned on.
    • The Morse Cone 3 recording ensures firmness. Also at the Counter center.
    • The clamp mechanism with which the loose head is fastened to the bed is unparalleled. There is absolutely no movement once the trade has been secured.
    • The Pino is pierced by 8 mm.
    • The loose head has a handle on the back. This makes the thing easy to pull off your workpiece. (This may seem like a little thingy, but I miss it on almost all other banks…)
    • The high degree of finishing ensures that the loose head slips easily over the bed.

The BANJO/Chisel support base

Where some lathes still tighten their chisel support with a spanner key, Oneway does this with a trade that is very easy to clamp and relax. This patented system makes it easy to move the banjo much and quickly. I think there is little debate among wood-turners that this is the best banjo out there for sale. This banjo is therefore often sold separately to wood-turners with other brands of lathes.

The chisel support.

The chisel support (1 inch) clamps unusually well in the banjo thanks to a unique clamping mechanism, which also ensures that if the clamping mechanism is loose the chisel support can be easily resisted or taken out. This allows the banks to support chisels that are very tight in the banjo far behind. Even after a day of oak wood processing can still be easily maneuvered with the chisel support…

The Stepless control speed.

  • Frequency inverters come in many types and sizes. On your lathe You need the best out there.
  • The transducers are pre-programmed and ready for use.
  • Speed adjustable between 0 and 3000 rpm. (Forward and reverse).
  • Available in 1.5 hp, 2 HP, and 3 hp.
  • Thanks to the sophisticated 3 Fasentechniek there is already a huge couple from 100 rpm.
  • Speeds: 70-700/190-1900/305-3050 revs per minute. of pulley can change in less than a minute.
  • The frequency converter lets you work at 150% of maximum power for up to 1 minute.
  • The frequency converter switches itself off when there is a short circuit or a hefty ' hacker '. This to protect the engine.

The bed

  • The bed and ribs are welded on the huge steel pipe underneath. The whole construction is stripped of tensions and very precisely flattened.
  • The rigidity of the construction is unrivalled. Stiffer still than a cast iron bed.
