Easy Core knife set
The knives are made of high-quality materials. They have to be, because quite a lot is asked of the material during coring. Each knife set contains a knife, support and a "cutter". The cutters are replaceable and can easily be sharpened on a grinding machine. The knives are made of HSS CPM M4. This is the same steel as the Mastercut bowl gouges from Oneway. The supplied tool rest has the same diameter as the knife. Each support finger therefore belongs to its own knife. This knife set is used together with a base plate.

The Oneway bowl cutter has a base, 4 blades and 4 curved tool rests. The largest has a maximum diameter of about 46 cm. This means that the bowl will have an inner diameter of about 44 cm. The smallest gives a diameter of about 20 cm. (but smaller is also possible) Requirements are that the bed of the lathe is flat and the motor at least 1 KW (1.5 HP). The Easy Core has a replaceable 'cutter' made of HSS CPM M4. There are also cutters made of carbide (stellite) available. If you choose: "complete set" then click here.
Multiple sizes available.
There are 4 sizes available for the easy core system. The knife sets of Oneways Easy Core system are simple and solid. They must work at exact center height, which is why they can be adjusted in height at the bottom of the foot. The included support finger has the same radius as the knife. Knife set #1 has a radius of 4.5 inches or a diameter of 9 inches/22 cm. This allows you to cut out bowls with a diameter of approximately 17 to 27 cm. Keep in mind that these diameters apply to a bowl that is just as deep as the radius of the knife. For shallower bowls, you can also cut out smaller diameters.

Multiple shapes possible.
The knives have their own radius, but by moving the base plate on the bed, many shapes are possible when cutting out bowls. From narrow and deep to wide and flat. Outside the specified maximum radius, the edge of the knifeholder runs against the wood. By shifting the base plate slightly and re-entering with the knife, the groove in the wood can be made wider, allowing for cutting out owls larger or smaller than these sizes. A cutter made of Stellite is also available for the knives.
