Bowl coring system, Easy Core (complete set)
Oneway's Easy-Core system (the bowl corer) is a unique method for removing multiple bowls from the same piece of wood. It is fast, adequate and safe. Of the systems on the market, the Easy Core system is the most solid and reliable.
Why the Oneway bowl corer?
- It saves time. Cutting bowls is faster than hollowing them out with a bowl gouge.
- It saves energy. It also costs you less energy than hollowing out with a bowl gouge.
- It saves wood. Instead of 1 bowl you can now get 5 or 6 bowls from the same piece of wood.
- It saves shavings. Hollowing out a large bowl will give you a few garbage bags full of shavings. Working with the bowl cutter gives you a shopping bag with shavings.
- Little vibration. The blade of the bowl cutter is always supported by the curved Tool rest.
- Because the path of the knife is defined, the knife can go in and out as often as you want. This is often useful to loosen the wood shavings.
- The form of the tool ensures that there are virtually no 'catches'.
- Multiple forms possible. (a flat dish can be cut out with a large knife)
The Oneway bowl corer has a base plate (you can order it here), 4 knives and 4 curved tool rests . The largest has a maximum diameter of about 46 cm. This means that the bowl will have an inner diameter of approximately 46 cm. The smallest has a diameter of approximately 20 cm. (but smaller is also possible) The system fits on almost any lathe with a center height between 20 and 35 cm. Requirements are that the bed of the lathe is flat and the motor is at least 1 KW (1.5 HP). The Easy Core has a replaceable 'cutter' made of HSS CPM M4. For a good fit of the base plate on the bed of the lathe you need a clamping block. You can find the correct clamp block here. Center height
Which set you order depends on the center height of your lathe. The inch size indicated on the box is the "swing" size, the maximum diameter that can be turned. The center height of the sofa is mentioned in the pull-down menu.
