It is very nice to participate in a course “woodturning bowls”. If you control the technique it will be easier and it’s more fun! In this course “woodturning bowls” you learn to woodturning bowls and platters. In 2 days you learn all the techniques of turning bwls. Prior knowledge of the woodturning is desired for this course. Some experience with woodworking in general is advantageous, but not a must.

Content covered in the course:

-How do I cut a piece of wood from the tree? -What tools (gouges, scrapers etc.) do I use and why? -How and when do you sharpen your tools? -What is a safe speed? -Which wood do you use for what? -How do I dry my wood? -Finishing Day 1: From the log to the rough bowlblank, drying and finishing. We saw a piece of wood from a tree trunk and at the end of the day we make bowls of it. Day 2: With the same techniques we make a natural edged bowl and a platter. At the end of the course, everyone takes his/her workpiece home with them.

Small group:

In a small group in the workshop of Ronald Kanne, Turner and demonstrator, on the best lathes on the market, Robust, OneWay, Vicmarc and Stratos. The next workshop will be held on November 16th and 17th 2023 from 9:30 to 17:30 pm.
